![]() You are able to drag yourself up the unique way you can drag yourself down when it comes to Motivation. It is a choice YOU make every single day. When you are faced with this clash of choices, make sure you understand at least the following 3 simple rules regarding motivation. 1.) Never mind ‘you are not this’ or ‘not that’ thinking. This begins with little excuses similar to 'I don’t feel good', 'I’m not that smart', 'I don’t believe I can do it'. Then your subconscious mind begins believing in these statements like they are sacred scriptures! These negative beliefs become a part of who you are. The barriers you establish in your mind will block your progress. Don’t give a second’s thought to these bad self-talks. When you hear that negative critic in your brain, shut it’s statements down with positive solutions. For example: “I’m going to fail on that exam tomorrow!’ vs “I am going to pass that exam!” (You hear the negative critic talking now, don’t you? Tell it, that “Yes, it can be that easy because it does work!”) Try to have some faith in yourself, in what you can do, and the things you believe. It doesn't matter even if you do fail, everyone goes through that hurtful process. What matters is that if you do, you learn from it, come back better for the experience, and provide the world a better you. 2.) Dream Big. Big dreams inspire. What would happen to people if they had nothing to shoot for? Absolutely nothing. No new inventions, no new technology, no new advancements of any kind! Dreamers are needed to dream the impossible and to make them possible. Without big dreams you would stay forever in this nook of the world where everything is mediocre, where sense of achievement is surely an abstract concept, and where success is almost nonexistent. 3.) Focus on your Passion/Purpose/Cause. Try to win the debate with yourself whenever. Remember that sometimes, the act of doing something is not that difficult. It's the few minutes of mental chatter leading up to doing the act that is sometimes overwhelming. Reflect on something that matters to you personally or hold on to dearly with a purpose. Some people call it their passion, or a cause. What do you call yours? Cause, passion, or whatever it can be that propels your inner drive to try and do something is a very powerful method to obtain motivation. It never runs dry. Sometimes, it is what makes people do the impossible. They can face and overcome the biggest difficulties life throws at them. These are only 3 simple rules of motivation, but applying these rules into your goal setting plan will allow you to easily progress forward to successfully achieving your goals for yourself!
