![]() Have you ever watched someone discuss something that they were really passionate about? They are extremely enthused, happy, motivated and energized. Have you been able to find what you are passionate about or believe it is something limited to select individuals? Have you envied those who are passionate about their work? Hobbies? Causes? Interests? Especially if they stepped out and are successfully creating income and enjoying their passion at the same time? You are not alone, many individuals believe that they will have a miraculous ‘aha’ moment and a lightning bolt of passionate energy will strike them out of the blue. This is not the case. I have to admit that I have used that phrase myself to describe an idea or my passion. That ‘aha’ or ‘eureka’ moment just popped out at me, but with more consideration this was not the case. Subconsciously, the information, knowledge, interest or idea was always there. I finally reflected, researched, and seeked out the answer long enough to retrieve it from myself. There was no mystical magical moment involved. I wanted to share some insight into how you can find and re-ignite your passion for yourself. Finding what your passionate about does take effort and action on your part. More than likely, you have more than one subject, interest, or cause that will ignite that passionate flame within you. You need to find out what does excite you. Is there something you already enjoy doing? Do you have a hobby or something that interested you as a child, but never thought about it as a possibility? Whether it’s creating bead-crafts, making birdhouses, or just reading comic books; there is likely a way you can rejuvenate your enthusiasm. You could create an online website, blog, open a comic book store, or sell your crafts to retail outlets or on eBay. If there is already something you enjoy doing, you are ahead of the game. Now you only have to research the possibilities available to share your passion with others through volunteering, mentoring, or even making money from your passion. Some may find when they focus on their interests, that nothing springs to mind right away. Don’t allow yourself to get frustrated. It is just time for you to brainstorm! What do you spend hours reading about? What subject matter on television captures your attention? Are you into video gaming? What kinds? Don’t close your mind to these topics. Check into them. Get a piece of paper and begin writing down ideas. Anything that springs to mind, write it down. Look around your home, pc, or bookshelves for inspirations. Just write them all down. There are no bad ideas at this stage. You will evaluate them later. Ask others for ideas. Friends, family, and even just surfing on the internet will provide an abundance of inspirational ideas. See what other people have discovered as their passions. The more possibilities you find, the more likely you will find your true passion. Evaluate your list, at this point of research; you should be able to chunk down your list to some interesting possibilities. Remember, don’t limit your selections by waiting for the lightning bolt…think about what makes you happy and what you enjoy. Research and learn as much as possible about your selected idea or ideals you are showing an interests in. If you have had this interest for some time, you might have already been doing this, but by refreshing your research it may reignite your passion. Seek out others in your area or on the internet, who do what you wish to do and quiz them. Enthusiastic passion can be very motivating and contagious. Can’t discover your passion initially? Thought you found your passion but you got sick of it? Begin over again and find a new passion. Never stop trying. Give up after a few days and you are sure to fail. Keep trying for months if necessary and you will find your passion! There will be more than one passion in your lifetime, so explore all the possibilities. You discovered your passion but haven’t been successful making a living at it? Don’t quit. Continue trying until you succeed. Success doesn’t occur without action, so quitting is a sure way to fail. Many marketers’ sell individuals on the idea of becoming overnight successes with no effort…this is NOT the way it works in the real world. Action is Progress, especially if you are driven by passion and energized with motivation and enthusiasm. You will enjoy your successful achievements even more all along the way. I realize what I have defined here seems like a lot of work but it will be the best investment in your life fulfillment factor. Follow your passion, enrich your brain, and find peace and stimulation simultaneously. You will find that once you light that spark of passion within you, you will be truly happy and incredibly fulfilled. Each individual is unique and your perspective of success will be as unique as your passion. Wherever your interests take you, passion can be ignited and successfully achieved.
