The reason the answer to this question is so important to you is this: Numerous studies indicate that happy people are more confident and therefore are more successful in all aspect of their lives, specifically in their careers and relationships. What may be even more important to know is that confidence and happiness have a direct link to positive mental and physical health. Many studies have shown that stress releases the adrenaline response of fight or flight. Whether the stressful situation is positive or negative, your body’s chemicals kick it into high gear. You instantly react to the stimulus, heart racing, sweaty palms, and feeling that emotion that ‘I need to do something, NOW!’ Fight or Flight? How about neither? Are you at risk? How exposed are you? I'm referring to the negative words we may hear or see at work, home, online, on TV, etc. Negative words and phrases that are not necessarily spoken to you; but still find their way into your subconscious mind. The damage is not obvious at first, but with repeated exposure over time, these negative words can do serious damage. Even the most successful individuals can hit a bump and find themselves off track at some point in their lives. You can become confused at the loss of momentum and uncertain as to how to get back on track. All that is needed is something that can keep you motivated. I have found that one or more of the following suggestions will assist you in regaining your forward momentum and you will soon be back on track! Motivation is intriguing. Sometimes, you need big things – life events that have the power to turn you around – and other times, you only need those tiny motivators – a cute saying on a poster or daily affirmation – to make you feel like you have the power to call your own shots. How you feel about yourself has a lot to do with feeling confident. To feel confident, you should have this feeling that you can achieve the goals you have set for yourself. Everyone has been gifted with one or more talents. To think like a winner you must feel confident that you are good in these skills. Below are a few ways to train you to think like a winner: It is good to set goals that challenge you, but if you can never reach the goal, you will not do yourself any favors. You need to think realistically about your dedication to a balanced life. It will come with some sacrifices in certain areas, but it will reap many benefits in your life – health, relationships and happiness to name a few.
